But you are referring to the rotational input, rather than the set up into a turtle. The entry from horizontal flight into the 'snap turtle' is what was written incorrectly.

I'd love to see someone pop the top wing, while slacking the bottom, and get into a turtle. Now, maybe you can pop the top and give slack to the top, and it will fall in...but not if you give slack to the bottom wing first. Then you'll get a flare, like in a half axel.
