Wap Doo Wap

a.k.a. None

TP-USA Tricks Party Definition Group 4

The WAP-DOO-WAP is a single 360° or 540° rotation initiated from an over rotated Flare. The kite is flared 360° on the pitch axis so that the belly is up and the nose points toward the pilot but the lines are now underneath the kite (almost in a YO-YO). Before fully entering the YO-YO, the kite is spun either 360° or 540°. The kite should exit the trick vertically—nose-down for a 360° rotation, nose-up for a 540° rotation.
KEY ELEMENTS: ►Flat rotation. ►Clean, vertical exit.

From a Fade the kite over rotates on the pitch axis so it is belly up nose towards you. Then does a lazy Susan style rotation before it fly's off again.

Primary Execution

Fly the kite straight down then give slack with both hands take up the slack so the kite is pulled into a Fade. Then Flare the kite in the same way you would a Flic-Flac, but harder so the kite rotates through 360° onto it's back in the Fade. Now with the lines underneath the kite pop one wing so the kite rotates either 360° or 540° give slack while the kite rotates then take up the slack for normal flight.
