Pancake

a.k.a. Belly Landing

TP-USA Tricks Party Definition Group 1

In the PANCAKE, the kite lands belly down, nose away. The trick is entered from a nose dive directly at the ground. The kite is flared at the last second to place it on the ground on its belly. To be considered a clean landing, the nose of the kite should not hit the ground before the belly of the kite does. The kite should remain in this position for at least 2 seconds. (Note:
What the French call a “Pancake” is called a “Flic-Flac” in the United States

Description

When a kite lands nose away from the flyer, belly down, with the lines coming direct to the pilot.

Execution

Primary Execution

To land the kite into pancake, fly the kite directly downwards until the kite is about one meter above the ground. Then throw both arms forward. Some kites prefer a slow gradual throw, others like a very fast push.
