Axel or double axel beginning from horizontal pass.

Execution

Primary Execution

From a ground pass slightly turn upwards then pop an Axel with the lower hand, do it hard. A perfect execution will give a VERY flat double axel and kite flies off in other direction.

Many recent kites will only do a single axel, and continue in the same direction unless reverting to an alternate execution.

This move looks best if you do it near the ground as the kite drifts across the ground as it spins, but of course it can be done somewhat higher up as well.

Attempting to execut the trick without the slight turn upwards will result into a snap turtle? which can often be continued into a snap lazy? or inverse.

Alternate Execution

On many newer polyvalent kites a pure single-input double axel genie pop is not directly possible. After the initial axel input when the kite is pointing away from you a second pull from the former top wing hand is required to pull the kite around for a full double axel and reverse direction exit. This method is very similiar to the taz machine, slot machine and 540, as you are simply beginning a 540 from the interupted axel.
