Flapjack
aka None
TP-USA Tricks Party Definition Group 3The FLAPJACK is a LAZY SUSAN performed directly from a ground launch and ending in a TWO-POINT LANDING. The kite is launched from its two wingtips directly into a TURTLE (belly up, nose away), rotated 360°, and immediately brought back down into a TWO-POINT LANDING. Compare KOMBO. KEY ELEMENTS: ►Rotation close to the ground. ►Clear TWO-POINT LANDING. DescriptionThe Flapjack starts with the kite stood on is's wingtips. The kite is then flicked into the air onto its back into the turtle position. It is then rotated through 360° like a Lazy Susan then the kite is brought back down in a Two-Point Landing.ExecutionPrimary ExecutionWith the kite standing on both wingtips let the kite fall towards you approximately 20 cm then pull back both arms evenly so the kite jumps into the air and onto its back. The further you pull your arms back the higher the kite will go and the sharper you pull your arms back the deeper the turtle will be. When the kite is deep in the Turtle but before it looses momentum pop with the hand you want the kite to rotate in. When the kite has rotated through 360° pull with both hands to land the kite back on its wingtips.Video LinksVideos with the TrickTrick animation by Roy ReedTutorialsA tutorial by Randy GreenwayTPUSA judging tutorial Related TricksLazy Susan, Turtle and Two-Point Landing |
