Chrisgoffkites web-site down

Sun Nov 18, 2012 1:14 pm

Does anyone know what's happening with Chris Goff and his kite-making? I was lucky in getting my own SuperFly, but two of my club members have one on order (not paid for yet, as far as I'm aware) and Chris' web-site seems to have been down for well over a month now.

According to a website that tells you all about these things Chris' site's registration expired on the 8th of September. This ever-so-useful website also gives you contact details of the person to whom the URL is registered but I am reliably informed that this information is not Chris' and so contacting it might be unwelcome.

This whole episode has been a triumph, has it not.

I get

The server isn't "down", in fact it is quite happily serving a "hey we don't actually have a page here" page. I understand that a better page is being developed to replace this one.

And weirdly.... so do I now :? I really did just cut an' paste. Well that certainly is a thing.

I understand that a better page is being developed to replace this one.

I'm sure we all have equal levels of certainty that this will along Real Soon Now

Scoop ! Scoop ! Scoop !

Tim Benson will be building the Superfly from now on, it'll be part of the Benson range with a dedicated page (shortly).

He'll be ready to take orders from next Tuesday, after lunch.

Great news I think. While he's at it, I hope they put their design brains together and come up with a UL version of this.

Chris did mention this to me some time ago as an option, so glad it's now a done deal!

Really obvious and welcome solution =D> .... I just wish there was an oversized version of this kite ..... say a 2.3 metre version if you are watching Mr Benson. This would probably help the wind range and precision. Fingers crossed and hope the standard one is listed soon ..... Wooo hooo

Its Thursday here already and no updates from Tim Benson's website. Is it confirmed already? :)

Don't take the 'Tuesday, after lunch' too literally.

It was a backwards reference to the DS Release Date.

It will happen when Tim is ready to make it happen.

As Frazer says, be patient .....
