Prism Eclipse specs

Sun May 10, 2009 12:07 pm

I've been googling for specs of the Prism Eclipse, but cannot find any frame specs for it. I want to know the difference between the SUL and the STD. Will put this up on the Prism forum as well. Perhaps someone (Zippy?) has an old Prism Brochure for reference?

SUL had a GForce UL frame, STD was Avia .2200 pultrude.
I had a Std and even in the cheaper frame it was still a nice kite

What he said. It is a pretty unconventional view of what constitutes an SUL but they were simpler times.

Well, Mike. Your database of kite related info never fails to amaze me.
Thanks a bunch. I have a STD then, and at the end of yesterday's session it was still flying in almost zero wind.

Oh yes...

"New for '98: Turbo bridle for increased precision and response.

This year we've replaced the old bridle with a Turbo Bridle that dramatically increases precision and cornering and allows independent tuning of pitch and outhaul position."

From the old TipWrap website. Gotta love four decimal places.

The SUL was also dropped from 98.

Judging from the colour scheme ("U") and the static bridle this is from '93 to '97.

You're right page 30 along with the Radian and Total Eclipse. I'm hanging the anorak up now :)
