Thanks for responding anyway

No worries - I did think that the specific colour request was for a reason :D

Part of why i loved the old Blade was that it was a noisy sod.
Maybe it appealed more as a child rather than a 34 year old haha

I too have a Powerhouse kites question. I have a 20 year old Powerhouse 'Team' that I have recently un-moth balled. It has two x 2mm dia 'stand-offs' that attached to the cross spar - but it also has two x 2mm dia long stand offs that come off the main stand-offs at right angles - but I can't remember where the other end goes and there is nowhere obvious to put them. I flew it without the extra stand-offs and it was okay but I'd prefer to have it fully rigged. Any ideas? Images here:

Thanks!

If theyre the same as the Powerhouse blade. They go from the lower whiskers to the edges of the upper spreader on bands.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, very similar but there is nowhere to located the upper ends except under the reinforcing tape on the leading edge where the cut out for the top spreader is - and that doesn't seem right. BTW How do you get images on your post? It rejected mine even when cranked down to a small size - or I get:
Error
Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.

Okay, so the long vertical braces originate from the stand-offs, as per the Blade, but it doesn't seem right that at the top, they just tuck in under the reinforcing tape at the upper spreader. Does that sound right? How does the Blade do it?

The blade has them attatch to the connectors for the upper speader by some simple rubber bands around the connector. To my mind, its questionable as to how much performance they actually provide to the sail if im honest.

Ah, that would be it! Thanks for the tip. I agree, not sure they do much. Such a pretty kite. Haven't done anything with them for many years but now feeling the need to get back into it. Most of the shops from 20 years ago seem to have disappeared. Can you suggest a good online store for stunt kites, kite lines, spares, accessories etc. Kiteworld doesn't seem much good and there doesn't seem to much other choice. Thanks again.

Admin note... sorry I can't enable image hosting here. Bandwidth is by *far* the most costly aspect and a single large image viewed just a few times will bust our allowance surprisingly quickly. I noticed your dropbox images aren't working either. I tend to recommend https://imgbb.com for simple image hosting.  They will also give you the bbcode for an inline image or a clickable thumbnail.

I have both the Powerhouse Blade and the Adrenaline, 30 years old. Flown the Blade once, but the Adrenaline has never flown.

Both in mint condition though the Blade's stand-off spring tensioning struts are secured to the LE strut using O rings, which have perished over the years, despite the packaging.

The Adrenaline has managed to lose a stand-off over the years, and as Powerhouse are no longer in production, I'm going to source the replacement parts (old-style 6mm-3mm strut grabber, stopper, 3mm carbon rod and end cap, direct from Exel, who I believe are still making parts :-)
