Nice looking, what are nitro ul sticks? At 295g that's quite weighty for an ul especially for a kite that if it's like the std is going to be set up a little heavy on the bridle

Those were also my thoughts on the UL, Harv. I've ended up putting an extra couple of knots on the uphaul on my std. Only had chance to try it once with the shortened uphaul in less than ideal winds, but much preferred it 1cm shorter.

I'm going to await feedback on the UL before committing.

This kite places quite a lot of stress on the lower spreaders and needs to be stiff as well so I can understand the logic behind framing. Still not sure what nitro ul sticks are though.

I love the superfly ul but that doesn't fly in super light winds though either

Love the sail pattern

Sorry, but mine flies just fine in very light winds, I fly on shorter lines and move my feet more.

In SUL winds on 30' it becomes almost street style flying and the size of the window limits some combinations
(for me - only 3 comete tumbles) but most everything is still available.

I'll be the Nova UL is similarly capable too, but it might be more demanding on the technique of the flier.
I've competed at inland at ODSKC where its been a muggy 100F and hardly any wind ... us Muppets are all on
UL's and SUL's and Will Sturdy comes up and trounces us using a STD. A STD of his own design at that.
But the time he quit competing he was the best flier in the US and he was always in motion, hands and
feet.

The superfly ul is probably nicer to fly than the standard but does need some wind for anything interesting to happen. I think I would rather just use the right kite for the right winds with the amount of time I get to go flying these days :P

Tim could do with making an proper tricky SUL of both of these.

I don't think that'll happen ... for the reasons I gave above ... the kite is not the issue here :P

I'd rather something more street oriented ... for us poor/inland/urban fliers.
