unknown kite - anyone know what it is?

Sat Dec 26, 2015 3:45 pm

Flew this kite today, very skittish, and having a mind of it own (eh, Tim?); anyone know what it is? No identifying labels anywhere, apart from the yin-yang-like logo on the sail.

Don't even dignify it with a name. Those are just the sort of nasty little kites which put people off this hobby.

Burn it .... burn it !

It's the same colour as a pair of 3D specs from the '80's

After that days flying all the kites were mud covered. But surprisingly this little beast took 40+mph winds flying around with minimum input from myself and of both members of Flying Fish. Still no idea of what it is.

Cheap kites in high winds can be fun - I have an old Aircrafts Giro that zooms about like an angry noisy insect when the wind picks up, and is very robust.

To Tony S yes it does have a spine. I was told by the elderly gent who gave it to me that it cost £20 15 -20 years ago. Have had it out in 45-50 gusts and just gets madder.
