Thanks for everyones response to date. The maps beginning to look pretty healthy already as more flyers add there details.

I've tagged my two rather disparate flying spots. Other people seem to have identified where they live. Which were you looking for, Steve?

Im not that bothered John. It's just to give a general overview of numbers of active flyers in the UK and where they are located that I was interested in. I notice we have no flyers in Scotland or Ireland shown up yet.

Still flying here very occasionally at Crosby or Beacon Park but mostly when on holiday nowadays. Need to get some more in, though.

Cor Blimey. Thought you were missing in action.

Would love to meet up again some time. Perhaps the four of us in the North West should try and meet up, although organising it might be a bit like herding cats. ;)

Steve, I'm in the Stockport area.

Hi Jon: Yes, still alive and just about kicking.

I was at the Beacon festival on Sunday (sans wind, as usual  ) and met with Peter. We talked about trying to get together at some point - would be good if we could a arrange an "old boys" fly-in :)

I fly in the Gloucestershire area, mostly Cheltenham or Stroud.
Always trick flying, but not brilliantly.

Just dusting off my kite bag after quite a few years. I'm afraid I went the way so many kiters did and got into kite surfing.

Use to work for Airborn Kites in Brighton but back in Cornwall now. It's a shame to see this side of kite sports in such a decline these days.

Looking forward to back spinning my Gemini again just as soon as I find my line bag....

If nobody minds I will trawl through this thread and make sure that the map is updated with details of everyone who has reponded to this call. If for any reason you dont want your details to appear on the map then please PM me. I wont do it till Monday. If you have already got your details on then it saves me a job. Thanks.

Apologies for my sense of humour. Probably not the best idea to try and resurrect a running gag from Crantock several years ago.

Three years is a long time to not fly Pete. As the map is supposed to reflect currant UK flyers and there locations I dont think your circumstances fit the criteria. But if you start flying again just add yourself on. We need as many flyers as possible.
