Where is everyone.

Tue Jun 17, 2014 8:23 am

Hi guys.. Im sending this out to all UK based trick kite flyers only. Im curious as to just how many active trick kite flyers we actually have in the UK. In doing this Im assuming that everyone in this sport does use Fractured Axel. So If you fly or know someone actively flying please chip in with the name and where they fly. So Ill start off

In the North around Leeds there is
Steve Ball
Simon F
Ian P
Shaun D

Other flyers Im aware of are
Yan Spooner (Suffolk)
Jaydub(Manchester?)
Harvey Stubbs(Midlandsish)
Steve C (Sheffield)
Bryan Beasley(N Devon)
Thats All I know. Im sure there is more
So if your flying or can add some information to the list please speak up. I really would like to know where were at in the UK.

Steve Ball

He may well chip in himself, but there's Tim, in the Bournemouth/Southampton area.

I still fly from time to time, and I can do a couple of tricks - does that count?

Still flying occassionally.

I can't get to festivals at the weekend any more so I've not seen another 2 line flyer around here for a few years :(

I fly south Leicester.
I say fly, more of an attempt when it comes to trick flying and am understanding more what the kite is doing.
I can do a pretty impressive circle though :)

I still try to get out, but am now very fussy about wind quality, so that's now about twice a year!

Flying almost every weekend, as long as the weather allows. Focus is firmly on pair/team precision flying, but every once in a while I try some trick flying. Repertoire is extremely limited trick wise, so up to you if you want to count me in or out!

Well by my count that's 24 of us so far. Ill let this run for a few more days and then see where were all at. I was hoping to get somewhere in the region of 40 to 50 UK flyers but its beginning to look like that was an optimistic projection. Thanks for your responses so far guys.

@ Bryan. I do vaguely remember some kind of map but it's probably well out of date now. I don't know if anyone's got the IT skills to get another one up and going but it would be helpful.
