As new Benson Gemini - what's it worth?

Wed Apr 03, 2013 1:40 am

As above guys,

Have one of these and it's literally been flown once! Yes, just once.
Beautiful condition in black/orange colour scheme.

Thinking of selling it as its wasted here.

Any ideas what it's worth? Guess they don't make these anymore :|

Thanks

Cheers mate, didn't realise these were still made.
Mine doesn't have the roll bars on the rear?

From your previous posts it looks like you must have bought it in 2007, so it will almost certainly have be a Structil framed version.

The later structil versions may have had a two part lower spreader rather than the three part ones on older versions.

Still a nice kite, but a bit limited for anything turtle based. Does what it does well, very, very nicely though.

What does all that mean Jay? Haha. Not worth much even with the new dyneema lines with it?

A well used, old style Gem recently went on Ebay for around £55. As yours is in better condition, depending on the colour scheme, somewhere in the region of £70-100 ish? You really need to post a photo. Even the old Gems were nice kites.

Sounds like postage is going to be expensive with the new post office prices. Maybe advertise it on your local flying club site so it can be collected or try some kite festivals and let others know which ones your at.
