JOBO Leisure

Found the kite I was looking for on this site. Payed via paypal, transaction was completed and funds transferred.
Seller first claimed that money not received and suggested I send cheque. Then claimed system down, even though I could register on site. And his system being down would not affect a paypal payment.
Since discovered email address not accepting emails now.
Also not answering calls or texts.
Have now issued a claim via paypal.

I have evidence of all this, and have no other reason to post this except to warn other potential buyers about what could happen if they use this site.

At least they show as having a real address, there may be hope yet.

JOBO Leisure is Dave Mullins (ex-'Mullins Kites') in Amersham, no reason to doubt it's a real trader but surprised at the problems encountered by the poster above.
Maybe they were closed at the weekend?

Well finally got my money back via paypal. Absolutely no contact from this Mullins character. Perhaps his shop is just closed, and not just for the weekend.

i've had a similar experience with Mr Mullins - i live about 30 mins away so i've driven there a few times and got sleeving kits, winders, straps and even a 8ft light wind kite hand built by him, i then asked Mr Mullins to order some lines on rolls, he told me the price, i confirmed i wanted the lines, and no further contact from Mr Mullins (i left several voicemail messages, texts, emails via his website, but all my communications were unanswered).

Shame really, he sounded very knowledgable about kites, but he doesnt seem interested in customer service.

If its a one man thing maybe something serious has happened in his life that has taken his focus off his business? Hope he is all well and good and its just a glitch.
I've looked a few times on his site. Never ordered though as it wouldn't go through from my phone.

good point Broady; i think it now is a one man business so i hope its not that because Mr Mullins was very helpful when i did meet him, just not very good at returning calls etc
