Ok, after much discussion the 2013 dates are in for the Northern Monkey Filey Fly-overs

Filey 'In' is from Fri 5 - Sun 7 July
Filey 'Out' is from Fri 13 - Sun 15 Sept

The venue is again at Filey, Yorkshire and we will be using the same campsite - It's called Filey Brigg Camping and Caravan site and postcode is YO14 9ET. There is a cafe on site, loads of flying space, local pubs, a beautiful beach - everything!!!

This aims to build on the succes of last years meets at Filey - a place to chill out, talk kites, fly kites, have a drink, bbq, and relax. With a extra helping of Yorkshire hospitality.

Everyone welcome - even if you haven't got a kite. Already the bag is loaded with over 30 kites, ranging from high-end e.g JoE, (x9 lol) & Benson, various home-builds, gliders, prisms, hq, and old-school all for you to try-out!

I'll drip-feed furthur info shortly - we've got big plans this year.....

Definitely in for July, should be good for sept but can't be sure yet.

I think I might get my pitch booked for this event sooner rather than later. Ill let you guys know what it costs. I seem to recal its about £6 a night for a tent and £3 per extra person. As Im not prepared to pay the extra £3 Ive told Pamela Anderson that its a lads doo only and she cant come. Naturally she's gutted but "hey ho", life goes on.

Anyone from Leicester area fancy a car share to get up to it? Splitting fuel will make it a lot more affordable

Well Im booked in for Friday 5th July through till Sunday night. There is only one area for tents so we dont get an allocated pitch you just have to leave 3m between units. Its in the peak period so the prices per night are as follows

One person tent is £10
A larger tent for two persons or more will be charged at £18 for the first two people and then £2 per person over that.

We intend to bash out a curry on the Saturday night which I will provide, Ill get some numbers a bit nearer the time and then maybe a communial BBQ on the Sunday around lunch time so folks can eat before setting off.

Dont forget there is a cafe on site which do great breakfasts and lunches etc.
This is in peak season guys and gals so take my advise and dont leave booking till the last minute. If anyone is struggling for transport then consider the trains. Im sure if you can get to Scarborough one of us will pick you up so just shout up.

I'll be heading up the A1 probably during the Friday evening. Happy to meet and pick up somewhere between A1 and Leicester if that helps.

I'll be there Friday midday till Monday (day off work!).

Just over two weeks to go to Filey guys. Curry orders will be going out next week.
