Portsmouth Kite festival

Tue Aug 21, 2012 12:40 pm

Thinking of making a trip down to portsmouth this weekend, left it too late to get a camping pass so might just do a day at the festival. Any other peeps taking attending the festival?

We'll be there both days. Won't be flying ourselves, although we will bring our pair/team kites 'just in case' there's a sudden gap in the program and they want us flying in the arena (as happened at Brighton).

Here's how to find us!

We didnt have a camping pass last year, we just looked the part!

Have fun anyway.

I'll be mooching around for at least part of one or two days. Probably won't bother bringing kites. How's that for commitment?

We had an enjoyable day on Sunday watching the displays while having a picnic with some friends. Can anyone tell me what the stacks of single line kites were? They were flying in the SLK arena in the corner closest to the display arena and the traders' stalls.

Thanks!
