We've got to get Chris to enter, give Piero some competition. Never easy to separate them in a TO.

While I welcome the idea of Chris entering, I can assure you that he's got competition. I gotta say the top seven or eight videos were all very very good. Leave out that taz cascade, and Piero is 7th or 8th at best, as suddenly the sheer difficulty levels all equal out dramatically. If and when it comes down to flow, rather than technique....

I am not saying he wasn't the best submission. I am, however, saying that there was MUCH more room for debate this round. I was very disappointed that Bryan's video didn't get rated higher, as it was fantastic. I think Bram's video was some of the smoothest freestyling in VF yet, as was Carlo's...and Will's entry was just too much too fast to be appreciated by everyone I think.

I was surprised myself. The same can be said for Dave Hearns, thought that was a top fiver at least...

Another great round tho'

Interesting. I was immediately struck by how, particulary in the first thirty seconds or so,Dave flew such a busy sequence whilst using so little space, which shows the control needed to keep the kite in frame, surely a technical achievement in itself.

For me, there was genuinely half a dozen in with a shot this time around - really tight - well done everyone.

Massive thanks to Mike for making it happen.

Bryan

(and anyway, I've come to love and cherish 6th place, 'tis a warm and comfortable place to be.)

Great round! Just out of curiosity, how was the seeming tie for 4th decided?

I think Piero has plenty of competition now. Yes, he's winning these rounds but it's not as if he's walking away with them.

There is undeniably a certain acquired skill to getting a good VF video. Whilst I'd like to see some other names in VF I don't think it's a sure thing that they'd immediately do well.

I'm only giving you whole numbers. My scoresheet goes deeper :-)

Artistic ranges:

Note: for these results the two highest and two lowest awarded scores have been dropped. This is more for aesthetics than anything else.

Nope. But without either, the list is no longer a clear winner on technique alone.

It's good to hear that technically the fliers are getting to the top, now they can really hone the artistic.

I personally prefer to have a routine get to me in the heart than the head.

I started doing a kite breakdown, and how many axels, cometes etc. but lost interest really quick. Would be interesting though - if time consuming.
