A groundbreaking round of VF with the bar set so high now that this competition really is IT.

Excellent work behind the scenes, Mike.

Thanks for the plaudits but I do seem to have been visited by the Fuck Up Fairy a few times. More later when I get off this mobile device.

Oh goodie.... a real keyboard.

So here's the thing; first I leave two promo. videos in a place where I can't get them sent to me ("first turn on the main power strip..... what do you mean "what's that ?" ?"), then I managed to lose a perfectly good entrant, then the results video turns into something of a debacle and then I managed to overlook the fact that Sven Arnesen has somehow waited until VF13 to get around to entering. OK this last one is, I think, understandable.

Which means the results are:

Zen spars - Pierre ter Bogt
Airbrakes - Jared Haworth
Flying straps - Carlo de Rond
£25 in KQs - Brian Litke
VF mug - Tom Patterson

Highest place newcomer - Sven Arnesen (VF mug)
1st place - Piero "Bloody" Serra (IckyTV t-shirt)
6th place - Bryan "But of course" Beasley

Deep Space UL - Eric Beaudry

As no man should have a VF mug cruelly dragged from their grasp due to my cock up I'll send one along to Pierre as well. I'm all heart.

I will get on to the various people about sending out the prizes sometime tomorrow as I am expected to do a little work. I'll also fire up the Analysis Engine™ so we can all pick over the bones of this round.

Mike.

I do

It means that they were someone's top- or joint-top score. As you can see 9 out of the 33 entrants managed that and reinforces the view I heard quite often that this was a hard round to score.

But apart from that it went without a hitch.

If it's any consolation, it all went fine from my point of view (apart from the results video)
