Cold killed my camera yesterday. Beautiful sun, nearly 'good' wind, and then only 5 minutes of recording time before it shut down. 12 days left.

D'oh!!

If the next person claims that their dog ate their VF entry there will be trouble.

Apologies for the OT, Mike.
(I have editor rights here. If it bothered me it'd be... altered. All part of the rich tapestry that is VF - Mike)

A dog and a responsible owner. I have a cheque to cover the damage and Craig is quietly doing his stuff sorting out a replacement sail.

It probably hasn't prevented me entering VF11, since the absence of a camera is a bigger issue for me, but had I been in a position to enter the Sin would almost certainly have been my chosen steed rather than the Talon, simply because it's bigger and slower and gives me time to do tricks (Purely a skill level thing. :?)

Great, great to hear that the owner was responsible. Takes most of the pain out of the incident to be sure. When this is combined with a 'tough sh#t' attitude from the owner, it leads to much more mental anguish.

Horrible tear there, glad they were responsible about it though.

I've got an entry ready, I'm just waiting to see if I can get a better one. Which is probably unlikely.

Sorry to hear that mate - if it helps any, I had my first Akuji Comp ripped to shreds by a stray dog - the whole kite was a complete write off; only the lower spreaders and the LLE's plus 4 panels were not broken or ripped.
