I disagree quite fundamentally. If someone wants to join in and all they can do is figure-8s then they should be encouraged to do so.

There are some fairly competent kite flyers who still don't think they're up to the standard required to enter VF. Talk like this will only discourage them further.

Oh come on, even my Xbox 360 plays m4v!

There is no standard to enter VF. These limitations exist purely in some people's minds.

I have to say though that the standard for winning VF is pretty high =D> and that may put some people off. Hence the prizes for taking part.

What do you think causes the Red Ring of Death ?

Scoring update:-

20 scores received to date. The 9 slackers will be sent ONE and ONLY ONE reminder before the weekend.

Not only have we seen the perfect 10:10 score, we've now seen the antithesis of this with one submission being judged to be 0:0  (this was in line with the other scores from that person so....)

Muse votes are well distributed with no-one certain to receive it yet.

It is tight at the top. At present I wouldn't like to pick a winner from.... 3~4... with a few others not out of it yet.

Oh yeah... I've already received some offers of VF11 prizes :D But let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet.

Mike.

Overall you are far from being the most miserly scorer. In fact you were positively generous in comparison to.... no, that would be unfair to name names

Now only 6 scores missing. Remember, no score = no (potential) prize. :-(

T'was genius. Well done Steve.

Why thank you Bryan ... glad someone appreciated it.

@Andy - indeed it can Cascade. It Flic-Flac's quite well also , but I guess we'll have to wait until VF 11 for the proof

It has been my intention to enter since VF 2 but have to admit I was a bit intimidated. My feeling has always been that kite flying first and foremost should be fun. Have to admit I was chuckling the whole time I flew the routine and while making the video. If any one feels that watching my video was a waste of time ... bugger off (did I use that correctly?).

@Mike - I'll have my scores in by the weekend, but feel free to send the nagging email.

I found it funny, like Steve Brill running into the distance in a 30mph wind after starting his Trick Out round
