The CTC can be flown like that, but I prefer a slower paced comet if I'm going to cascade it or tag a trick on the end. That's one of the strong points the CTC has, it can be flown the way you want.

I disagree quite fundamentally. If someone wants to join in and all they can do is figure-8s then they should be encouraged to do so.

There are some fairly competent kite flyers who still don't think they're up to the standard required to enter VF. Talk like this will only discourage them further.

For VF11, require that each entrant crash at least once. No crash, no score.

Maybe that would relieve some of the pressure, and difficulty, for some potential entrants.

Just a thought.

You want to add rules ?!?!? It's like you don't understand VF at all.

TBH I can only hope that watching a cross-section of the videos from this and other rounds is all the convincing anyone would need that VF welcomes all comers. Yes, we do love the fantastic videos of peerless flying but we certainly neither demand nor expect that standard.

Doesn't prizes for participation make that clear enough ?

Now down to just 5 people whose potential prize winning entries* could be struck from the list unless they get their scores into me in the next couple of days.

And as talk has turned to VF11 already  ... that's up to Davey. You lot can make it known if you want a breather or to dive straight into another round over winter but it's for him to say.

* all entries are potential prize winners.

No offense to Davey...but your combo roll as enforcer, promoter, and bouncer has been very effective this round, Mike.

Just looking forward to getting three more sets of scores (one from an FAer :sleepy:) and I'll be ready to announce the results and draw some prizes.
