Well, I sleeved the new lines, fitted the straps and went to the park. It was sunny. It was quite warm. It was rubbish.
About 15mph over the trees (where the wind was coming from) and about 1mph below them, seemingly from the opposite direction. One of THOSE days.
So - I couldn't even keep the kite in the air to dodge the dogs, let alone fly a decent routine. Oh well. No beanie for me.
Best of luck to everyone!

It's not quite up to the standard of "it rained that day" but that's a reasonable entry into the Why I Didn't Manage to Enter VF10 Stakes :P

When midnight has passed everywhere on the planet (just to be sure) and I am awake. The video page just needs to be published and the e-mails fired off.

The man works in a wind tunnel for a living, and can't manufacture a 60s kite video of some description? ;)

Entries now closed for UKers. A moderately impressive 13 though so well done.

Just waiting another 8 hours until Alaska joins us all in November.

Actually I'm waiting all the way until American Samoa flips too. I have sent kites there after all.

That'll be 11:00am UK time.
