I was too busy but managed a cheeky fly with Mike who filmed for 10mins, I still haven't seen it 100% yet as im away on a island on a loch in Scotland.

I can't wait to get home to see the entries.

I don't know if this may be of interest to anybody but at the moment Staples are giving a free digital camcorder away with each order of £39 or over (if placed on line).

This video is really great...and weird...and almost fake looking.

I am NOT saying it is anything but real, but the way the camera moves...and the way the background sits way behind the kite...just sorta spooky.

And this kite (succubus) looks huge, by the way. Very nice entry, Thomas.

Yes very nice flying thomas and a great way of keeping the kite in frame. I presume It's done by key framing in post production if so what editing package are you using?

I know, the camera moves very strange. It is because it is...

It's done by key framing in post production

(done with "Magic Video deluxe 2007/2008 Plus")

If anyone is interested in a version without camera-moving (but smaller kite in the video) let me know, so you can see this video is REAL.

And this kite (succubus) looks huge.

You can find more about this kite (in German :-s ) on this site

Very nice entry, Thomas.

THX

Don't worry Thomas There's no doubt that it is real I'm gonna try it with my own software. I would imagine that this method would work really well with HD footage cropped from widescreen to 4:3 not that I've got an HD camera but we can all dream.

With "Magic Video deluxe 2007/2008 Plus" there's nothing you can't do (ok, it is not cheap, but...). And yeah, my next camera would be a HD camera. I have already seen a nice one that comes out on June (or July).

OK - got all the entries in and will have all the updates done by Tuesday (I've an assignment due then, so my attentions are somewhat diverted!)

Props to all who submitted entries - it's really encouraging to see so many people still taking part :D

Nope, I hadn't fallen off the map. Although one would be excused for thinking so...

For scoring: I'll be away from now until 20th of May, hope this is ok.

So it could take some time to get a scoring list for this round, sorry :-|
