Round 5 - GO GO GO!!!

Wed Jun 14, 2006 6:52 pm

OK - I've fiddled about, procrasinated and generally done not-so-much for too long...

Round 5 starts NOW!

As stated in the usurper thread... Normal VF rules apply and submissions are due by 7th August 2006 please note updated date.

Prizes to be confirmed with those offering them and then will be made public via the site (and numerous forums).

Nope, I hadn't fallen off the map. Although one would be excused for thinking so...

The FA offer of a prize still stands Davey.

How's about in order to boost participation there is an organised fliming session for VF entries at a fest. sometime before the deadline ?

I've mentioned before that I should be at the Brighton fest. and unless Eddie ropes me in to doing something I'll film the trick comp. but I can also shoot anyone that wants to bang out something for VF. I can then slap it into shape for submission. So no more flimsy excuses about no camera or editting software.

Anyone interested ? And anyone else willing to do it elsewhere ?

Mike.

I will do it at the Epsom Downs fly-in, but I'm not standing with my camera on my face all day, so it would have to be a set time per-person, ie. Greater than one minute, but less than say, five.

Just a thought, that will only give me one week to chop the video up and get it out to the pilots. How were you planning on distributing your files Mike? Were you going to compress them first, or split and post them on CD/DVDs?

I was going to do the video myself. The flyers can see the video in camera and OK it. Let them chose a backing track or suffer my alleged musical tastes.

I can even arrange hosting of the videos. I am truly the one-stop-shop for all your Lazy Bugger VF needs. :thankyou:

So how many chances would you give the flyer to do a 60s routine? Just one chance?

A reckon a couple of goes should be enough. Give 'em a good chance to make a reasonable demo. of their skillzzzzz. But there will be limits to my endurance.

Well, I'll see how you do at Brighton, and I'll do the same at Epsom if it goes ok.

Any-one in the midlands wanting a separate get together, I'll be happy to do an hour or 2 camera work at the Bosworth Park / festival next weekend and similarly hash the videos together.

Could be a go-er. Going to the Epsom thing on Sunday, but could make Market Bosworth on Saturday.
