I've had success using a tiny ordinary screwdriver in an allen 'socket' - you need the width of the screwdriver blade to be just small enough to fit in the hexagonal hole at it's widest part...
dishwasher - if you are less brave under the shower and hit it with a nail brush. the important part is drying. I don't use detergent in case of residue.
Now I remember when I was a field tech (many years ago) the most disgusting thing I ever had to do was repair a keyboard on an Compaq 286 (I said manyyears ago). In those days people smoked in the office (often with a ciggy in hand). I opened the keyboard up and it was jam packed with ash. Jeez it STUNK.
