An Urban Round

Mon Jul 21, 2014 6:01 pm

I was thinking it might be fun to have an "Urban" themed round.

Kites to be flown in an urban/built up environment. Town squares okay, pedestrian precincts okay, roof tops (be careful kids !) okay, bridges okay ... empty Walmart/Tesco's parking lots NOT okay.

As this'd be a change for most folks we could announce the round and give everybody a year to get a video together. Regular VF comps
would continue in the meantime.

What d'yall think ?

I like it. Tricking with obstacles and dirty air. Great idea. If only I was better...

BARFING*! Haven't thought of that for a long time. I remember Chris Matheson telling me once that he and Andy Preston flew pairs from the Clifton Suspension Bridge on the way to the Bristol Kite festival. Must've been spectacular. I nearly got arrested once for doing it off Waterloo Bridge though (6am on a Sunday morning - no traffic at all), so if you're going to do it keep a look-out for plod.
