I once spent nearly 8 hours at a STACK AGM (annual general meeting) discussing this sort of thing. I can honestly say that it was one of the most boring days of my whole life.

I wish you luck Ara, I really do!

The problem is that today smooth and clean flying is out fashion.
If you consider the new kites on the market in the last 3 years, how many of them are polyvalent voted to elegant flying?
Very few, most of them are trick machines. The free projects panorama is the same. So double quick sequences of trick is what kitefiers wants and what they want to see in a freestyle routine.

Ara, when you fly by (and for) yourself do you feel relaxed and excited performing smoot and elegant flying with clean and well defined tricks? Good this is your freestyle.
In your next VF round you can work this way, think about a routine with every manouver well planed and defined and try to
perform it in the video.
This won't be well scored by other pilots? No matter.

@Ara, VF is just fine the way it is.

From the About Virtual Freesyle:

"The competition was born out of the desire for an informal fun format with relatively few rules and only a small
time investment required to enter.

Our motto - fly your way - sums up the spirit of the competition."

--

If you want to fly compulsories you should consider attending a kite competition, STACK/Tricks Party etc or
enter the French online competition - which has mandatory trick elements within the videos.

You know the rules... THERE ARE NO RULES.#

Can one of the mods move this to the appropriate section. The bin maybe.

Thanks 711jrp for being so inclussive and allowing for freedom of speech and making this a dialogue forum.

You may be happy now that I've deleted all the content in my entries. (I could not delete the entries themselves).

Sorry Frazer, but is that referring to me?

I think you are not understanding anything here.
I'm trying to provide ideas and get answers. In a friendly casual way.
I'm trying to stir a little the quietness of this forum and get some constructive criticism back.
I'm not trying to impose anything and just propose and suggest.
But I'm certainly not willing to be insulted without arguments and without ideas.

The rest of people probably did not deserve me deleting my comments and answers but I wanted to make a strong statement on the aggressive and insulting attitude of 711jrp

I don't mind being contested, not even being ignored, but I won't accept being insulted.
