Virtual Freestyle - Round One - Final Call

Thu Sep 16, 2004 10:48 pm

Final call for voting in this round of Virtual Freestyle.

Votes due in by 12 noon (UK time) late submissions will not be accepted, so you've just over 12 hours left to go...

Please note that competitors who fail to submit votes will be deemed as withdrawing from the contest.

There's a request that as many 'spectators' take part in the scoring as possible - It's to show your support to those who've taken part.

A big thanks to all those who've taken the time to d/l and view the videos as well as vote.

Nope, I hadn't fallen off the map. Although one would be excused for thinking so...

What's the sketch? Obviously someone's not voted... why go to the bother of making a video and then not vote? Come on chaps, play the game...

That might have been me. Andy, brother, no way I'm going to all that trouble and not voting. :P I have not had time to sit down and really review the videos until tonight and I wanted to fully concentrate on them. :)

Davey, I just sent my scores. To all my fellow competitors, it has been fun. Good luck!

Er... that's me, sorry. I didn't realise that we were *obliged* to vote.

Well I'll try and have a look at them before mid-day, but I can't promise anything.

Otherwise I guess I'll have to withdraw, but I must admit that seems a bit silly to me. I thought we were trying to encourage people to compete?

OK, I pulled my finger out and now I've watched all the vids.

Am I supposed to provide a score for my own video?

Hmmm... too late to wait for an answer. OK, I'll put down a score for myself, but I don't think scores for ourselves should stand. I'm sure I can't be objective about my own flying.

Will there be a call for a Floridian-style recount ?

Mike.

Might it be appropriate to receive constructive comments, both good and bad, from the other competitors? I did had some questions about how others would rate certain aspects of my performance.

Should we allow the same from the "unofficial" voters?

I wouldn't mind even if the other competitors gave me some comments via PM if they would prefer to keep it private.

Just some random thoughts. 8)

What is interesting is the big difference between official voting and spectator voting....
