I may have to withdraw for this round.

I have found no way of shooting decent video and keeping the kite in frame. My natural flying style is to use the whole window ... and I have been thinking about why ... because in a city park the wind is all over the shop and very gusty so you have to really respond to the wind. Today it was going from 2 - 15 mph in various directions.

This is why my vids are always lots of short clips edited together.

No I have just been through the 30 mins of footage I shot this afternoon and the best sequence I can manage is about 30 secs. :(

Oh yeah, nice one Juha!! 8) Very, very sweet flying. Love the N, too. Looks like my color!! :)

Ed, definitely those of us without a cameraperson are in a bit of a strait, particularly with the limitation of only alllowing the submission of one continuous clip of flying. It would be nice to find a way to let flyers put together a two or three clips with certain limits to keep those professional video editors from scooping us mere mortals.

A great example of our limitations is watch any kite video where one has a cameraperson. Notice how much of their flying would have been "in frame".

Oh, I see what you mean. I do have a regular tripod but do not extent the legs. I like a lower angle. They usually cut the grass more frequently where I fly. Usually, that is.
