VF15 - video nasties ?

Sun Jun 13, 2010 7:41 pm

The website is updated with links to the entered videos, all 17 of them. There is also a ZIP file of 205MB with all the entries. I'll put up links to any >20MB versions later.

The best of luck to those who have entered. You may now begin your dissection. Let me know if I've screwed up somewhere.

I am really happy the competition didnt stuck at 8 competitors and Obi is absolutely right! Didnt know judging is so damn hard! I really enjoyed seeing Bryan`s Insane right left since I havent seen one yet in my short kite-'career', too.

Well played everyone - some good stuff in there. 3 or 4 in with a shout of winning - one nailed on 6th place, and one sort of last without question. ;-)

Nice work.

Scores are here, you want 'em anyhow, or shall I await the spreadsheet?

Scoring sheets went out yesterday and I've already had some back but you're the second to suggest non-receipt :-k

Check the spam box and if not the XLS is here and an RTF here.

A little factoid or two...

17 entries and only two kites made more than one appearance: Benson's Deep Space and Jest of Eve's Talon.

6 first time entrants (35%).

2 irrelevant "best things"
Best sky goes to Thomas Patterson
For flying in what looks like a approaching thunderstorm, while sheltering under a bunch of high tension lines, a place on the Darwin short-list goes to Alexander Belov

Seriously - well done everybody.

Congrats everyone, there's some nice flying in there.... sorry for not competing this round - I couldn't get hold of a camera. Nor any time. To be honest I thought there was still another month to go.... how time accelerates... :(

Stuart,

We have 2 skys here in Seattle, WA - that one and the other one which is pure blue. We get the blue one for 3-4 months and the gray one for 8-9.
