TP UK 2010

Fri Oct 02, 2009 6:28 pm

The STACK UK AGM is coming up in a few weeks, and this is sure to come up...

I think that the general concensus is that a single, stand alone Tricks Party weekend here in the UK would be a favourable way forward for the format.

That's not to say we can't do smaller competitions throughout the season for locals and such like, but just 1 single event, with nothing else going on as the main event.

I'm in the process of UK-ifying and writing up some rules, and if there's any interest will happily travel around a bit through the winter to do some TP Workshops similar to the Portsmouth event to help familiarise anybody intending to join in with the format.

OK, any thoughts or suggestions - requests for a workshop in your area perhaps - offers of assistance maybe - would you like to get involved? Equally of interest - any Non-UK fliers with an interest in making the trip for the event? (Back end of September next year)

Date is NOT defined as yet, it will depend on a lot of things (like location offers and availability) BUT it will be during the summer (between May and Sept inclusive).

In fact I would go so far as to say that end of Sept is unlikely, as it will clash with Dieppe.

No problem Yan - Mid-Novemebr or Mid-February.

There'll more than likely be one upt north somewhere once Ian has got his diary together, and I'll definately do 1 if not 2 in the Midlands over the winter to tie in with the winter league stuff.

It would be great to have something over this way, if there is enough local interest I could arrange use of rougham.

Otherwise I will probably come to one in the Midlands (I'm assuming you mean Hinckley?)

Very interested and keen but practice time is at an all time low at the moment but may improve a bit by mid November.
A NOHD will be published for the DS in due course, till then wear sunnies.

Bryan, I'd be interested in a TP workshop in the South West (Bristol?) - if anything just as an introduction to the competition. If others are too, then maybe you could set something up for us?

It's pretty simple: do good looking tricks and have a 2 minute routine to music up your sleeve. Easy! :-D
