Jaffa Cake cup proposal.

Just like to run a little proposal past you all if I may. I'd like to do a few trick thangs over the following months but with a slight difference. I'd like the format to stay the same so far as what the flyer is trying to acheive but to change the judging a bit. The judging poses a two fold problem. Firstly, getting two other judges isn't always easy and secondly I have a bit of a problem myself in judging people because I feel who am I to judge anyone and always feel a bit uncomfortable doing it.

So my proposal is to make the competition peer judged. The way I see it working is as follows. Each competitor will be given three tokens, gold, silver and bronze. There will also be an envelope for each competitor. I will be on hand to hold the envelopes, for time keeping duties and general heckling etc. Then what happens is, everyone does their thang as before, everyone else watches and shouts encouragement etc at the bits that they like, then people decide who they would award 1st, 2nd and 3rd place to and place their tokens in the corresponding envelope. I envisage this part to be done privately. The winner is the person with the best collection of tokens when the envelopes are emptied.

Personally I see this as a forward move for the Jaffa Cake Cup, as I feel that to be judged by another competitor is of more worth than to be judged by a judge.

Anyway, thoughts and comments please.

Thanks,

Jason.
Jason.

Filling the envelopes with different flavour Jaffa Cakes sounds better :D

Seriously, nice idea. If there's a few competitors it might be worth making your own notes on each Thang, so you don't forget the one at the beginning just because it was 50 mins ago!

Well, that was a box of something, and it brought tears to my eyes too, but they certainly didn't look like Jaffa Cakes
