Dear Tricksparty pilots,
With many delays we finally present you the new rules for 2011.The reason we made these
changes are because pilots and kites have developed over the years pilots got better. Because
of that the ballets became less divert and somewhat predictable. So the changes are meant to
have more interesting and more divers ballets.
We understand we are very late to announce these changes we hope you will understand we
have jobs, family and other things on our mind off-season.
2011 will be a test year to see how these new rules work in the field and what the pilots think
about them. After season 2011 we will evaluate the season and make some more changes
where needed.
Tricks Groups
The experienced pilots have been asked to fill in a survey regarding reordering the tricks. The
results of this survey have been used to make the new tricks list. The list reflects now better
how the average pilot experiences the difficulty of a trick. Also we reduced the number of groups
to 4.
The new trick groups:

Style points:
The style point categories are also changed. In previous seasons the judges used to look at 5
different elements in a ballet but from now on we there will only be 2.
Choreography / Musical Interpretation
0-20 multiplied x3
The relation between music and kite movement.
Technical performance / Risk taking
0-20 multiplied x2
The technical performance of the ballet (precision, speed control etc.) and taking risk
(extra tricks/combo’s, position in the window during tricks etc.)
The endscore for ballet will be made up by 50% of the tricks and 50% of the stylepoints (used
to be 60/40)
Regarding safety:
Field directors will be more strict on flying outside the circle.
When a pilots flys outside the field he/she has to stop and walk the kite inside the field.
Haven't had chance to evaluate up to yet, but mixed responses so far on the Eurozone forums.
