I can see the thread now - thanks everyone.

I agree - the design doesn't look great does it.

Seems that no one on the REV forum has agreed with your thoughts so far.
If you understood the meaning of the design, you would appreciate the design.

So it's your fault for being stupid, Steve. It's half of one kite on one side, half of another on the other.

Few Revs. do much for me anyway but this is a bit ho and not a little hum. There's little to suggest that it's anything special.

This won't stop RevHeads offering to kill their grandmothers and sell their daughters to get them though. :-) Which is the main point.

Easy to see what they have tried to do but it would look better if it had been designed for flying not as an ornament, just cos folk on the Rev forum ain't slated it don't make it good design.

Just to let all Revheads know if they missed it, these revs should be here for Christmas.

Rev 20th Anniversary Kite
Kiteworld have secured very limited stocks of this limited addition Rev, if you want one pre order now.

To mark the 20th year of Revolution kites Revolution wanted to do something very special and that is the 20th year Anniversary Kite. This kite is a 1.5 and will combine both the old and the new as far as sail pattern goes and The kite will be framed in the new Race Spars that are the weight of a two wrap with the stiffness of a three wrap. Each of the kites will be signed and dated by the Hadzicki brothers (designers of the Rev) this will be a limited run of just 250 and then the pattern will be destroyed, never to be done again. This kite will also come with the 20th anniversary logo. it will come with the simple draw string bag with the 20th anniversary patch sewn on it as well and is a must have for any Revolution flyer. This is a fantastic part of kiting history and will surely become a collectors item.

regards to all

I understood the design instantly, but still didn't feel inspired by it. If I designed a car which was a Lamborghini at the back and a Morris Minor at the front it would be an interesting exercise in design, but still a bit of a dogs breakfast. However to put this POV on the rev forum is not likely to be a suitable strategy, netiquette wise, to win friends and influence people. Maybe that's why people over there are not criticising it?
