No Stone in Shoe Bob, thank
you very much. Although I couldn't understand what you were on about in the first part of your PM I did get the gist on the second part.
Yes I was at that time unaware there was a problem and your heads-up allowed me to circumvent any further misunderstanding regarding the name problem.
As I previously posted I was unaware that my original post had found its way here, we seem to have generated a lot of interest in this Mass Rev gathering and it has gone further a field than I originally expected.
When we first considered putting on this event we just quickly put a name to it without really considering the large amount of interest which has been generated within such a short time.
Originally the event was targeted at MKF members and others based in and around the midlands but it seems with the addition of the Stack competition it has gone a lot further.
GREAT REV RACE
For those of you including John Barresi who haven’t attended MKF events before;
Over the last twelve months MKF Rev Fliers have been running a competition where you have to land specified parts of your kite in or on targets in an obstacle course. In addition this obstacle course must be completed in the shortest length of time, in other words you are being timed with a stopwatch. This has proved very popular at events drawing spectators to watch what have become very hard fought competitions often finishing with as little as 1 or 2 seconds between 1st and 2nd places.
The general rules are that you can enter using any Rev 1.5, but we have found that shorter lines of not less than 50ft are the best for this event.
The obstacle course consists of firstly a specially made
REV TARGET consisting of a circular MDF disc about 12 inches in diameter suspended on a 28mm vertical metal tube approximately 18 inches long fixed into the ground. Secondly a plastic storage box usually 18” x 12” x 12” deep and a standard sized folding deck chair.
This competition is open to all comers so if you fancy entering then come along and join in the fun.
