EXP v P200

I am trying to work out how best to set up my 1.5SLE for light winds.

From reading the forums it appears I could either replace the LE with P200 or just buy a set of EXP spars. What do people think is the best option??

PS - if I go for the P200 option what is the best way to construct the LE and do I use P200 for the spacers as well?

I fly my rev in lower winds with p90's actually. Ive used it in some very gusty winds and never broke one at all.

Kite actually feels much nicer with the more flexible LE too.

I tried playing with p90 down, and 2pt down but that really seems to kill the kite. p200, similiar or better seems to be minimum imo.

I fly my std wind rev with p200's from 5-20mph, never broke a tube and have no problems flying the kite at all. Id imagine most folks would want a stiffer LE though. Seems that for std p300 is the going tube.

I bought a set of "Professional Use Only" spars from Dunstable Kites. Possibly not the cheapest option (a touch over £40 for the 5 spars needed) and I can't compare with EXP or P200 spars but another way to go. Certainly improves low wind performance.

The Exp's will be step down towards a better light-medium wind set up and the 2 wrap/ "Professional Use" spars will take your wind range even lower.
If you go with the skyshark p200/300 route then I'd recommend you use their solid ferrules rather than carbon rod offcuts. It's best to cut the 3 rods down to the same length as well and then just ferrule the middle one. It would be worth getting 2 more to use as lighter vertical spars as well.

I was looking on bilboquet, is this the stuff I need for the ferrules - 1152 Raccord interne pour Skinny, Skyskark ou Excel 1 1.80????
