If not a Rev, what quadline to choose

Fri Jul 21, 2006 9:08 pm

I already have a rev and fancied something different to go with it but not another rev. A friend has a Skydancer http://www.spec.u-net.com/iak/index.htm and I wondered if the fijet or swift would make a nice little stunt kite.

Has anyone flown either of these?

When you say not another rev do you mean not another 4 line kite as in:

Alien
Spitfire Quad
Spirit Quad
Kamikaze Butterfly
(to name but a few)

and you want a 2 line kite?

If not a GuildWorks Synergy Deca then a WindFire Flame, seeing as most of the WF crew used to work at GW.

Neither are common nor cheap. Both are very, very clever.

My deca 6 UL is for sale, Mark Ricketts is no longer making the 6 in UL also Rev2 is under rated less pull than the other revs and flys in as low a 4mph up to 30+ winds setting up tricks are a snap

Well this has given me some stuff to thing about - I definately want more than 2 line but the Deca is expensive new!

Whats the wind range of your UL Kite Slinger what do they fly like?

Am even thinking a 333 might be something different when I finished tearing my hair out with the Rev (as I'm not as good as I want to be) and need a change.

None of us are. I've had a dabble with two line and gave up (at lest for a while) repairs are costing me too much in time and money.

I thought of trying an Airbow, but I'm fighting the temptation at the moment, don't know how long that will last.
