polokites advertising #2/3

Sun Dec 11, 2011 9:22 pm

Hello!
I suggest you watch some pretty flyers advertising "fun" by Los Hermanos Show Kites / Polokites.
(The second of the 3 advertising.)
The four lines likes girls... and girls love the 4 lines!

If flying a rev means I have to fly a pink kite, I just won't.

Hello Vee,

Ah, i expected this reflexion :D
You know, that it's a complete coincidence that the "Revolution" are pink for this advertising.
I'm a man and i fly with black and pink kites!
This advertisement is on the fact that orders for "Revolution" are increasingly bought by women for women... and for us, Guys, it's great!

Olivier

ps : Pink for girls and Blue for boys! Fortunately this is not a general ;)

Olivier, look I'm a female kite flyer, I've just started flying revs. This advertisement, genuinely makes me want to think twice about that. It's an honest, if toned down, response to your advert. Genuine feedback. I presumed, that as a female kite flyer, just starting to fly revs, that I was part of your target consumer group. Clearly I was wrong.

All will be in balance as long as the third advert contains a hunky bloke with no shirt on. :-)

Of course then the problem will be the unnecessary use of sex to sell kites.

If they are as good as Revolution say then sell them on the capability.

If they want to show that women ('girls'!?) like Revs then why not show some real women kite fliers. This is just an excuse for a bit of sexist rubbish. Yet another reason not to cross to the dark side.
Must fly

Dear "RoyReed" and "Keithgrif"
I was very hesitant to answer .. but in the end, I will take the time!

I laugh at the head (at the face) will do the daughter of the advertisements when I say that you took for a model.
This will be pleased HUGE!
She blushed with pleasure. hahahahaaaa!
It's not a model.

It's a "kite" woman known in our country (4 lines and 2 lines in team). And, for our pleasure, we have a lot of pretty girls who are of 4 lines.

Next time, just for you, I would ask your fellow singer "susan Boyle" to pose for me. It will check if it practices the kite (that is an ethic in me ... I never takes a model to illustrate the practice of a sport or an art, always take a picture of a real person)

If you want a debate on the fact that you it is good to see someone cute on an advertisement? I will not answer this sterile debate.
(I think I answered above)

Understanding that these advertisements offend you, I do not edit the third and final insert.

I wish you fair winds, sunshine and 4 lines in your hands.
