Little help with a competition please?

Fri Dec 03, 2010 8:19 pm

Hi everyone,

Please could you help me out by voting for my three tracks in a competition? The competition is run by Nanostudio, who write an iPhone sequencer and sampler, which I used to make these tracks.

The tracks are here:

http://nano-comp.heroku.com/320
http://nano-comp.heroku.com/316
http://nano-comp.heroku.com/259

You can even listen to them first, if you like ;)

There's no singing, promise.

Cheers,

Andy S

Great stuff Andy. Listened and voted. With hidemyass I could put in a couple of extra votes for no.2, but don't tell anyone ;)

Thanks guys. I'm on the first page by popularity now, but about a factor of 10 off the leaders.

Please just take a sec to click through and vote on each track. There's no registration required, no strings, no commitment. Cheers.

@Sub - It's a full DAW (Digital audio workstation) in one app. 4 synths and 2 drum tracks, with a sampler and all the effects and mixer etc you'd expect from that sort of thing. Amazingly capable and surprisingly useable even on the iPhone screen. Most of the sounds you hear there are presets or readily available samples, some tweaked a bit. The arrangements are all mine and represent a weeks (spare time) work.

Thanks for everyone who's voted so far. Currently 5th, 7th and 8th out of 300+ entries. I'm going to need a lot more help to get any nearer the top though. It's going to take 100 more votes to get into 4th place, so if anyone hasn't voted and feels like helping out, please do.

The competition announcement states that 'getting your friends and family to help out' will be essential, so don't feel like this isn't in the spirit of the game.

Voted. Looks like a great App, I'm off to the Apple App Store to check it out.

Paul, it's a shade on the pricey side but it really is a great app. There are free windows and mac versions (of the iPhone app) on the website If you want to trial it. http://www.blipinteractive.co.uk/

Finished watching the demo video, I'm very impressed. The GUI looks very slick and the sounds aren't bad either. Not bad for under a tenner.
