Injury forces sale

Thu Jan 14, 2010 3:11 pm

I am having to sell my kites as despite several bouts of physio I am unable to look above the horizontal for any length of time without losing the feeling in my left arm!!!

I have

CR Fury Black and Gold Lines unused, flown once Sold

Rev 1.5SLE Red white and blue No rips tears or nicks No Lines Sold
Benson Reflex. Red, white, black No rips tears or nicks

Would prefer to sell them to genuine kite flyers rather than flea bayers
Offers please.

Jim

Sounds like a "trapped" nerve. I had a similar thing a couple of year ago (variations on numbness and excruciating pain), and it still repeats occasionally. I friend who "knows about these things" gave me some exercises to do that help a heck of a lot.

PM me an email address if you'd like me to scan the sheet and send it to you.

Stephen thanks for the offer, I already have all the exercise stuff from my sports physio, but at my age you cannot fight the ravages of 45years of contact sports :-( :-(

Ah, but you can -- not completely, mind you, but I've found that I can at least alleviate the symptoms (mostly due to rugby, caving, and unplanned contact with a speeding Zimbabwean police car). :-D (And I wouldn' t mind betting that my age is greater than your age: free prescriptions and bus pass due this April!)

Anyway, good luck finding good homes for your kites -- shouldn't be too difficult.

Could be intrested in the REV!
My mad American wife is into these.
Could you give more info and what you are asking for it?

Very sorry to hear about your problem, and I wish you a pain free future.

Lousy news about the injury...I'm late in sending this message, as my left leg has just developed two more leg ulcers, and I'm limping badly (spent 11 months in 7 layers of bandages last year). I, too, am fighting the ravages of injury and time - good luck and masses of sympathy....but don't give in. I was paralysed for 2 months in my left leg five years ago...but I'm still walking, albeit with problems....please keep fighting - it's worth it. Anyway, I'm kite flying again, too....if you haven't sold the Fury or the Gemini, could you let me know please, and I'll make an offer on one of them....thanks, The Mad Pixie, alias Sara (Sara Lyth) :-(
