FA Straps

Mon Oct 15, 2007 10:22 am

Yesterday at the OSOW Epsom meet I spotted Andy using some new finger straps. He turned away for a second, just long enough for me to swipe them.

Picking them up I noticed how cool & soft they were, I'd seen Andy stroking them against his cheek earlier and almost felt compelled to do likewise, but there wasn't time. These were the two fingered type, different from others I'd seen being large enough to fit any of my fingers and sitting comfortably in my hand.

They come with a bridle line connection point with two knots for adjustment, and look neatly sewn with a band of tough cordura holding them together. Craig also had a set but in the open loop style, in the same colour, a smashing orangey pattern that shows up well against the grass.

Later on that day I saw Mark(JoE) handing flipping great bundles of both types to Craig, so I guess they'll be in the shop soon.

Nicely made straps that aren't stiff or scratchy

I had heard rumour of these straps - not unlike my fav knuckle dusters from The Highwaymen but a bit softer and slightly different geometry and construction (I believe) - definately count me in for a pair Andy/Craig.

What ever happened to the HQ ones? Their knuckle-duster-type ones were great and looked good too.

I'm using Highwaymen ones at the mo, but had to remove the d-rings and replace them with cord as they really did 'dust' my knuckles every time I popped a line.

Get these in the shop, FA! I need to get a new centre T for my DeepSpace and I'll add a pair of these to the order. Will we get a colour choice?

The strap material, sourced by Craig, is excellent and very easy on the fingers. Top man and a great find!
