I do not own one but i was considering one and extensively researched it. only found some info on some french forum and they don't seem to like it beyond entry level flying. one folk redid the bridle and he seemed to like it alot better. some info here. maybe google translate can help you

thank you for your advice; it's much appreciated.

im guessing £55 for an 8ft stunt kite incl lines, winder and straps will mean it is quite basic, but still sounds really good value for money.

If you want my honest opinion i'm pretty sure it's a very good kite. from what i've read, people were pretty happy with it once they modded the bridle

we received our Tribord R244 (8ft stunt kite) from Decathlon for £54.99 delivered including dyneema lines, straps and winder.

Initial thoughts are its good for ballet/precision as i managed to do combination tuns and fly boxes using my 45m lines. I also managed to perform axles and half axles (which is all i can do even on my superfly lol).

I would describe the build quality as similar to HQ kites and the kite looks well made and robust (it is framed with 6mm pultruded carbon tubes). The leading edges are made from one carbon tube so the leading edges can't be broken down. Decathalon sell spare parts including 6mm carbon tubes in lengths of 1.7m at a very reasonable £6.99 each which is enough for this kite.

That's nice. i actually bought one too.. well a friend of mine bought it for me but he lives abroad and couldn't send me it by mail because of the size. 
I heard they stopped production of this kite in favor of the orao brand. can you make close up pics?

I've used ImgBB recently. Free image hosting up to 16MB per image and formatted code to just paste in here to embed the images.
You can resize or crop an image online using something like PicResizeand specify a maximum filesize as an optional parameter.
I should probably update the image hosting sticky at some point.

Briefly flew a Tribord R244 this morning. Build quality is not top level (e.g. a Benson or Airdynamics), but you can't expect that from a £55 kite in comparison to a kite which costs ~4x as much. Having said that, build quality is very reasonable, certainly for the money.



First flight showed the kite to track very well, and easily do basic tricks (axels, half-axels). Flight is noisy, but the leech line is easily tightened, which results in less noise and slightly higher speed.



Overall, I feel the kite is excellent value for money. Look forward to flying them as part of a team (we have 4 between us now).

Heard discussion at Eurocup that Steph Ferme was working with Decathlon on a range of kites, maybe this is one of them

Looking at YouTube videos, it looks like it is at least 4 years old.
