Its ready ... and I have to say this really is a top kite !

Another NC flier has the STD version on loan, and thats a great kite too, everybody who flies it
seems to like it - Ron Graziano included.

What a glowing review.

Now feeling more than a little tempted! :?

In complete agreement about your comments on the logo. Presumably if you spend 30 euros more for a custom one then this becomes optional, but that's a heavy price to pay for something that does not need to be there in the first place.

"none of the dreaded deadspot which blights some other, overly pitchy, modern designs"

To what could this be alluding ?

It's not a Black Pearl, if it doesn't say Black Pearl on it !!!

I'm quite happy for my Sin to have a small Kitehouse label on the LE tunnel and I'm quite happy for my DSs marked up as Bensons with a small label on the spine and I'm quite happy for my son's L1 Jump to have some subtle screen printing on it. I just happen to think they've gone a bit OTT with the BP. But then that could just be me (and Frazer and ....) :?

Anyway you know where I sit on this one. ;)

Must get some thread to patch up my genesis,I'm really missing it now.I hope the L1 BP has a more resilient nose than my older L1 ,a slight weakness I think.Mine started with a scuffed nose threatening to breakthrough and then last summer the thread came adrift on one side of the nose pocket such that the spine tends to pop out.

You got me thinking, mate.
Did a little experiment last night. The printed logo comes off easily with acetone without any damage to sail nor colour.
Now there ye go all ye Jons and Frazers out there ...
:D

Braver man than me taking acetone to a brand new kite. Would be too worried about stripping the coating off the Icarex. :?
