Turbo Phantom, anyone?

Tue Feb 10, 2004 8:23 pm

Whilst this may have the purists aghast, and seem like something out of Max Kiting.... has anyone /know anybody who has put a turbo bridle on the Phantom Elite? Is there any benefit in its trickability, and if so at the expense of how much of the precision. Recognising that the Phantom is no Gemini, its is also somewhat reluctant to yaw or pitch.
If anyone has any dimensions, this would also be helpful

Not a turbo bridle, but a dihedral active bridle for the PE.

Hope this helps m8.

Nope, I hadn't fallen off the map. Although one would be excused for thinking so...

I've put the dihedral active on my Phantom Elite UL. It's very sweet but, like you said, doesn't transform the kite into a Gemini. Do you want this anyway ? Enjoy the kite for what it is, don't decry it for what it isn't.

The PhanE has got a lovely groove to it's flying. If you flail at it, it'll sulk. Go with the flow and you'll be rewarded.

Mike.

In that case I haven't answered the question correctly :-)

It's worth the swap. It makes the smooth, smoother still. It doesn't transform the kite but why would you wish to ?

Mike.
