6.3mm OD Pultruded carbon - Now Sorted Thanks

Sun Jan 12, 2014 2:45 pm

Does anyone have a small piece of 6.3 mm OD carbon tube they could let me have?. Perhaps the end of a broken spar you have kicking around. That size used to be quite popular with kites made in the early 90s and usually made by Beman.

I need just a few cinches to make internal ferrules for G-force 'Skinny'.

Many thanks,

Bill.

No problem Bill.

I have some Beman strong OD ΓΈ 16/64" (6.35 mm) carbon tubes.

Tell me please the (minimum) length you need for your ferrules (usually 3" for the Leading Edges and 4" for the Center-T) and how many ferrules you want to cut.

But I thought that Avia .240 (6.1 mm) tubes was usually used for Skinnies as for SkyShark ?

Thanks Michel.

I'll measure the length required and also check the diameter. I just guessed at 6.3 but I will measure ID of my G-Force and check. It is quite old G-Force so it could be different..
