Aero Stuff Blue

Fri Apr 05, 2013 10:18 am

Hi
I haven’t been here for 6 years, since I left the UK for Australia.
I dug out my Fury .85 Aero Stuff Blue today and headed off to the beach. Took the kite out of the bag and one spar was broken. I have no spare so need to buy some.
My first stop was to get in touch Carl, but much to my surprize no kite related design ! A lot has seemed to changed, not changed but disappeared in the last 6 years.
So any help on where I can buy some online would be gratefully received.
Many thanks Steve

My god.. is that Mr Rayner? Hope you and the family are well down in Oz :)

Why not get direct from Japan? Would have thought it is closer to you.

Hi Dave, yes it is I !
We are all very well thank you.
After moving to the other side of the world, getting a new job ect there wasn’t much time for flying. But after 6 years I had the urge to go fly, most of the tricks were there, but combining them together was the hard bit. With a bit more practice I hope it will all come back. I will be posting a video of my first fly for 5 ½ years very soon.

I asked one of the Japanese fliers. Apparently there isn't a website in Japan for them. Looks like you'd have to go through one of the European/American distributors after all.

Aero Stuff spars are now imported for Europe by Atelier kites.

Hi Steve,

Good to see you are around again !

Which spar did you break ? I have used gold lower spreaders in an otherwise all blue frame - needs a little more wind, but not much. All the spars are the same length so can be swapped around ......

your video did look a bit light on breeze ......

Cheers - Tony
