Well pleased with the end result from the many hours I have put into this build and cannot wait to get out and give it a fly.

I feel inadequate; can't get around to even fixing an existing kite.

Thanks for the positive comments. I have not yet been able to go and try it out due to the weather and work - frustrating!

The orange endcaps are from The Highwaymen. I think they look 8-)

There is a leech line of the 'sewn at the wingtips method', however (I may regret this?) rather than stitching the leech line to the sail directly I cut a piece of dacron to match the end of the wingtip and reinforce it. Then I folded a small strip of icarex lengthways to use as internal loops. I attached these to the dacron so that they were stitched closed at the wingtip end and then attached the dacron to the sail. The loops sit neatly inside the trailing edge. The spine end of the leech line is attached by bungee cord to the centre-t.

Yes, the nose could have been better. I have since put a small strip of dacron along the cut edges now and tidied it up :-)
