First try on video share........###FIXED###

Tue Jan 20, 2004 9:33 pm

Hi Dudes.

I've just managed to twist the arm of a buddy of mine to host some of my kite videos. So this is the first test to find out if it holds water or not.
I'm having some odd connection problems myselfe, but nothing that wont go away with a "reconnect" or 3 :P

Well the ftp share is still up and running, so its still possible to download from them with a ftp prog.....at least so I'm told by some at aerialis and gwtw, and now it works from my side too(but its still in the lane of being fixed, but since both the guys running the ftp are out of the country it could take some days before everything runs smooth from the ftp share)

If you decide to have annother go at ftp: 4me2use.net with user: kite, password: kite remember to "use passive mode" I know this has solved the problems with the connection for a couple of downloaders.
And again sorry for the inconvenience :(
Paul.

Well they don't know of this at GWTW just yet ;-) but Daniel has been so kind as to mirror the nirvana video http://behrens-adenau.de/Vids. So if you jump it before the US dudes goes online you might get a decent download speed.
Paul.

Davey, I'm using Pinnacle Studio 8.10.
I find it to be a bit unstable from time to time, but its extremly intuitive and easy to use and for the most part it covers what I need.

I hope as many as possible will try and download the 21 Century trick video 2*NEW*. Its from the same tape as the other 21CX video, so some crossing in clips will be found. But I think its kind of cool and different enough to justify it as a test file.
And a test this is, because if Thomas at Drageportal can show his ISP that he needs more speed he might just get that, and therfor it would be nice if you all hit him hard, because the more good kite sites we get the stronger the kite community gets!! 21 Century trick video 2*NEW*

Take care and tnx for youre support and help.
Paul.

Hi Simos.

I'm using DivX v. 503 codec, when wieving my videos with mediaplayer or zooplayer or PowerDVD. The videos is supposed to be in std divx format if that is a standard.
Paul.
