Downloading videos in Safari

Sun Feb 23, 2014 9:25 am

Just upgraded from an almost 10 year old Dell PC to a Mac.

I'm after a quick and easy way of downloading kite videos from youtube and vimeo?

Are there any extensions in Safari that do a similar job to Download Helper on Firefox?

Or am I just better downloading FF onto the Mac?

I'm not getting into the Mac v PC thing, but definitely d/l either Firefox or Chrome. Safari is a rubbish browser - even the latest version of IE is better.

Yeah - I have Firefox and Chrome on my Macs's ... I use Chrome mostly - the missus uses Firefox.

Both provide support for extensions like Adblock Plus - which can great improve the browing experience IMHO.

I only ever fire up Safari to check that the 'Clique works okay there.

I must be in the minority as I like Safari, no problems here!

To download from youtube I use: http://www.clipconverter.cc gives you plenty of download options.

Will check clip converter out.

In the dying days of the Dell, FF ground to a halt while Chrome was much quicker.

The issue with Chrome is they make it damn difficult to download youtube vids.

Download helper is such a good solution on FF.
