Depends on the accuracy you want. It's way too woolly for me! :P

Who has flown an E3 then?

After hearing about how crap the E2 was I was quite surprised given its obvious limitations how much I liked it

If the E3 overcomes the limitations in the pitch side of things I would have thought it would be a reasonable starter package to get to an intermediate flying level budget wise, especially since it comes with a fairly good line set.

While the cost of the kite this side of the pond will be disproportionately high to its US price I guess therefore few of us will bother splashing out £'s on it to find out if it has indeed overcome the limitations of the E2.

i have one. its okay. it felt familiar. it came with the the accessories, which are normal enough. its build isnt excellent but it is put together well. think modern mid level trick kite package. very close if not better to the finish of the silver fox series. i moved the weight and fixed the bridle. it possesses the ugly comete where they end up facing straight up on the rotation. taz gets lost. yoyos are easy. wap is easy. jl's are easy. backspins are easy. it pitches back easy and tricks smooth out if you move the weight up. slots are nice looking. multi's fall out unless you wack at them. insane and rolling are easy. it will also reverse insane. roll ups are smooth and i think the kite would do well with roll bars, they may even add some balance to it. its not that ugly in person. i have the graphite. but it aint what i would call pretty either. it cost $165 US delivered, which with all the other junk you get isnt that bad a deal if you really wanted that stuff. it'd be a great deal at $120 for just the kite and bag. overall on a scale of 1-10 i would give it an 7. it isnt something most of the elite here would need, but for someone starting out with tricks and is looking for a good package deal. this one is really hard to beat.

and imo its a better design than the zephyr

hope that helps, sorry for the length.

Hey R, do a video of it if you have some time? There are gradually more stunt kite flyers from Singapore the recent months and the question that always comes up is what is a good beginner kite to buy in order to learn some tricks. I'm not about to say any $300 boutique French kite so I'm looking at some low - mid level price ranged kite.

So far the ones I've seen people pick up are the silver foxes, Eolo Over (which I think is a nice trickable kite), Acrobatx. Based on your review the E3 might be a good idea. It would be good to know also if the E3 have a good low wind range.
